JoAnne King, 63, of Bellefonte, passed away on Sunday, April 1, 2018 at the Mount Nittany Medical Center in State College. Born on April 4, 1954, in Bellefonte, she was the daughter of Harry LeRoy Eckenroth of Centre Hall and the late Marcella Confer.
JoAnne attended the Penns Valley High School. She was of the Methodist faith. She worked for Juniper Village at Brookline Memory Care in State College as a Certified Nurses Assistant, retiring in 2008.
JoAnne enjoyed crossword puzzles, watching TV soap operas, making people laugh and socializing with family and friends. Her greatest pastime with spending time with her grandchildren.
Along with her father, JoAnne is survived by her two daughters, Tammy L. Parrett of Pleasant Gap and Toni J. Auman of Bellefonte; one brother, Michael Eckenroth of Altoona, two sisters, Vickie Homan and her husband, Roger, of Centre Hall and Melanie Warrender of Tyrone. Also surviving are her two grandchildren, Madison and Nathan Auman and special nephews, Brandon and his wife, Erika Eckenroth and Jeremy Eckenroth.
All services will be private.
